Kevin “Ataraxia” Galvan, of the Zeta Chapter at the University of Michigan, passed away on June 11, 2022.
Kevin was truly one of a kind. From his caring nature, enthusiastic sense of humor, and irrational fear of touching sinks; you could feel his energy radiate wherever he went. Kevin was a senior at the University of Michigan studying in the School of Information with hopes of becoming a data analyst. He was persistent and refused to give up on his dreams no matter how many obstacles he faced.
Kevin crossed on December 9, 2017, at 4:28:28 AM. He became a brother at the Zeta Chapter as a freshman. Through the years, he served in many important roles, such as committee lead for the Right to Success outreach program, Membership Educator, and President of the Chapter. Kevin entered the Chapter as brother #147 and helped Zeta thrive to reach our current number of #173 brothers. He grew exponentially alongside the fraternity and we are forever grateful for the lasting impact he left on our chapter and in our community.
Over time, we watched Kevin develop his character as he became the confident and wholesome man we all knew him as. He cared for others deeply and only saw the best in people. He will be remembered for his love of basketball, classic movies, EDM music, and funny bear videos.
Kevin was born in Detroit on April 15, 1999, and passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2022, at the age of 23. He will live on through his mother Consuelo, his father Felipe, and his siblings Guadalupe, Diana, Kassandra, and Kenny. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of family and friends. We will always carry him with us.
